Some extracts from our company pamphlets from 1994 to the present that reflect both our feelings about the state of society as a whole and our company mission: to produce an enjoyable way of life.
1994 This company was founded, Japan's economy is in a slump and looks set to stay there.
1995 We face the problems of a rising Yen, falling stock prices, a credit crunch and de-industrialization. It seems that Japan is being forced to look for a new path in its economic direction.
1996 Things seems to be picking up for the Japanese economy, but there still seems little hope of a runaway boom. Even with a solution in sight for the Housing Loan Corporation problem there is still a need for structural reforms. One conclusion that we can draw from the experiences of the past few years is that perhaps the globalization of the world economy will require the slimming down of not only Japanese industry but all organizations within society.
1998 The slimming down at all levels in Japanese society has also helped us to see the future of Japanese industry not so much in manufacturing, but more in the creation of products for the human soul. This is something new that Japan can be proud of developing in the future.
1999 The few months
of this summer have seen things looking up. The Tokyo stock index
has risen to over 18,000 yen. The question remains however as
to whether this can bring confidence to the management mindset.
There is still clearly a need for structural reform to continue.
